Gill Brown

Dr Gill Brown is a former geophysicist, now freelance graphic designer and illustrator, specialising in the field of scientific visual communication. In 2019, she was awarded a PhD in graphic design from University of the Arts London, investigating scientific conceptual figures through graphic design practice. Gill now applies this research experience in her freelance work, running workshops in graphic design and illustration methods for scientific visual communication, as well as working with scientists to help them create effective and adaptable figures, posters and information sheets.
