‘Behind every success story’ – what do you think of our new ad campaign?

The observant amongst you may have noticed a new banner on our homepage today.

The banner’s part of a new campaign that we’re launching in the North-West of England, and on our websites.

The campaign aims to communicate the link between Cancer Research UK, the groundbreaking research on cancer going on around the UK, and the benefit this has on people’s lives.

There’s a web page tied in with the adverts, where you can find out more about our research, download posters and audio files, and watch a video about the making of the campaign.

We’re really keen to hear your feedback, on all aspects of the campaign. Is it effective? Are the supporting resources ok? Is there anything else we could have included?

Please post your feedback in the a box at the bottom of this post.

i thought this advert had a very strong impact on me as the viewer, even to the point when they start to say they can beat it, it gives you hope that the money i donate does make a difference. However i do feel that the emotional level of the advert could be heightened by the right peice of music. my suggestion of music would be Sarah mclachlan’s ‘Anglel’, because i feel the lyrics are very relevant to the topic,

‘Spend all your time waiting for that second chance, for a break that would make it okay. In the arms of the angel,
    Fly away from here,
From this dark, cold hotel room,
And the endlessness that you fear.
You are pulled from the wreckage,
    Of your silent reverie.
You’re in the arms of the angel,
May you find some comfort here.

I found the advert quite touching, and i hope it’ll get others attention and encourage them as it did me. It would be a good idea if you add appriopraite music as a background while the people are talking. NO pop music more calming music. Emotionally it was a very good advert. I do hope that it has the impact that it should to raise awarenss and money to Cancer research.
