Tesco colleagues fundraising for Tesco Turns Pink

Race for Life is an inspiring series of 3k, 5k, 10k, Pretty Muddy and Pretty Muddy Kids events which raise millions of pounds every year to help beat cancer. We’re proud to say that our partner Tesco is supporting us for an incredible 21st year and this spring, they’ve got lots of activities to help us launch this year’s Race for Life series.

You can choose from 16 special Mother’s Day cards priced from £1, available from Tesco, featuring inspiring stories from Tesco colleagues and Cancer Research UK volunteers on why they Race for Life. UK Greetings designed the range and Tesco will donate £20,000 from the sale of the cards to Cancer Research UK.

Oonagh Turnbull, Head of Charity Campaigns at Tesco said: “We hope these cards will inspire others facing cancer and the money they raise will make a difference to so many lives.”

The cards are on sale in Tesco stores from Tuesday February 15 until Sunday March 27.

‘Tesco Turns Pink’, Tesco’s nationwide annual fundraiser for Cancer Research UK, will be taking place between Monday March 28 and Sunday April 3. Thousands of Tesco staff from across the UK are set to embark on a variety of fun fundraising activities in-store. Customers can also donate to Race for Life during that week by rounding up their purchase to the nearest pound at self-service tills in store, donating their Clubcard vouchers or making an online donation.

Plus, each store has a limited number of freeentry places to Race for Life to give away. More than 400,000 colleagues and customers have taken part in Race for Life since 2002, raising an incredible amount for life-saving research.

You can sign up to your local Race for Life event by visiting raceforlife.org entry starts at £14.99 and events are open to people of all ages and genders.
