Cancer Research UK appoints new trustee

Cancer Research UK today announced the appointment of Tracy De Groose as a trustee.

Tracy De Groose is executive chair of Newsworks, the marketing body for national newspapers in all their forms.  She is also a portfolio director, advisor and investor.  From 2014 to 2017 Tracy was CEO of the Dentsu Aegis Network.

In 2016 she was named one of London’s most influential people in the Evening Standard’s Progress 1,000 list and as a ‘Woman to Watch Europe’ by Advertising Age. She is treasurer of women in Advertising and Communications (WACL) and a champion for diversity and inclusion, regularly prioritising time to mentor, support and guide emerging talent.

Sir Leszek Borysiewicz, chairman of Cancer Research UK, said: “I am delighted to welcome Tracy to our governing council. She brings broad experience and a wealth of knowledge across media, marketing and advertising industries. I’m very much looking forward to working with her.”

All trustee roles at Cancer Research UK are unremunerated.
