We are delighted to announce that as part of its long-standing commitment to children’s causes, CMB Monaco has partnered with us for its latest charitable initiative. Marking World Children’s Day on 20 November 2025, the initiative combined fundraising, client engagement and an awareness campaign in the press to support research into cancers affecting children and young people.

On this occasion, CMB Monaco dedicated a percentage of its trading commissions to Cancer Research UK, while also inviting its clients to make additional voluntary donations. Thanks to the collective mobilisation, the initiative raised €23,357 towards our philanthropy campaign, More Research, Less Cancer, with the funds directed specifically to research into cancers affecting children and young people.

Since 2022, CMB Monaco has deployed an annual end-of-year charitable initiative focused on children’s causes, reversing a portion of its commissions to selected charities. Over four years, this commitment has enabled the bank to raise more than €123,000, reflecting a sustained and growing engagement beyond its core banking activities.

This partnership marks the fourth consecutive year in which CMB Monaco has dedicated its year-end charitable initiative to organisations supporting children.

“What matters most to us is that these funds represent a collective effort,” added Francesco Grosoli. “Every contribution makes a difference. Together, we’ve built something that extends far beyond banking – it’s a shared movement of compassion and responsibility.”

Cancer Research UK is one of the world’s largest independent funders of cancer research, supporting scientists, researchers and clinicians working across more than 200 types of cancer in over 20 countries.

Michelle Mitchell, Chief Executive of Cancer Research UK, said: “We want to bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer. One of our focus areas is cancer that affects children and young people, and we are very grateful for the support of CMB Monaco, its staff, partners and clients.

“Our research has played a role in around half of the world’s cancer drugs considered essential for children aged 12 and under. Yet each year, around 400,000 children and young people worldwide are diagnosed with cancer. We are determined to change the outlook for these children, young people and their loved ones.”

She added: “Collaborating with like-minded organisations enables us to maximise our impact. Partnerships such as this allow us to invest in pioneering research, accelerate progress and develop more effective, less toxic treatments tailored to the specific needs of children and young people.”

Through this initiative, CMB Monaco reaffirms its commitment to responsible finance, collective engagement and long-term impact – demonstrating how banking, when combined with purpose, can contribute meaningfully to global causes that matter most.

In 2024, Cancer Research UK launched More Research, Less Cancer. With a target of raising £400m, this is the largest philanthropy campaign undertaken by a UK charity, raising funds to help accelerate a new golden age of cancer research and change the outlook for this generation and the next.
